Vezat ćemo njime sve turističke lokalitete naše općine i ponuditi posjetiteljima mogućnost jednog novog obilaska naših ljepota, primjerice turu »Tri jezera«, posjet Svetištu Majke Božje u Liču i slično. Taj će most omogućiti prelazak korita Ličanke i nastavak šetnje drugom stranom Bajera, a vizualno će biti izuzetno atraktivan.

Ghosthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06947632288346231995noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6196358506502555815.post-48712977732580178462007-09-29T18:35:00.000+02:002008-11-13T22:13:11.717+01:00Skydiving video
400 Way Skydiving World Record - Official Video - 06, Thailand, World Team Breaks The Skydiving World Record, Now at 400. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires that the reserve parachute be inspected and repacked every 120 days (whether it's used or not) by an FAA-certified parachute rigger. In the event of a malfunction, the jumper jettisons the main parachute by pulling the cutaway handle. A second handle activates the reserve parachute.

Other Equipment:

Automatic Activation Device (AAD)
An AAD is a self-contained device that calculates rate of descent and altitude and deploys either the main or reserve canopy at a preset altitude. In 1797 he jumped from a balloon over Paris using a parachute and kept on making other jumps in France and also in England.
Until 1903, when the Wright Brothers made the first aircraft flight, there were no parachute design developments. But along with the increasing industry of aviations, parachutes began to develop as well. In World War I , that is between 1914 and 1918, the military began using parachutes in their missions. They were a fast escape for balloon-borne observers, who drew enemy fire at their positions.

Barnstormers, who were in fact aerial showmen, fired the imagination of aviators and skydivers after World War I. The barnstormers showed airborne performances and parachute jumps and travelled every year throughout the United States. Competitions began as a result of the increase of parachuting awareness. The first contest of accuracy landing was held in 1930 in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).

The military used paratroopers in World War II , that is between 1939 and 1945. The paratroopers were parachute-equipped soldiers and had the most famous use on D-Day, the invasion of Normandy (Normandie), France, on June 6, 1944. The allied paratroopers secured areas to make it easier for other soldiers to come ashore from boats, after landing behind enemy lines before sunrise.

The surplus of nylon parachute equipment after World War II and the fact that the U.S. Army had started the first military sport parachuting clubs, set the grounds of skydiving in the United Dtates, as a pleasant and relaxing activity. The same thing happened in many other countries, and thus , the first parachuting world championships were organized in 1951 in Yugoslavia.

Little by little, in the mid 1960, systems specially made for sport parachutes took the place of the military surplus systems. Parachutists started to call this activity skydiving and calling themselves skydivers. In order to improve the opening characteristics and to make them more maneuverable, there were a few sport modifications to military parachutes. A French Canadian kite builder, Domina Jalbert, developed in 1964 the the ram-air design, that has set the tendencies for parachutes in skydiving from then on.

Sport skydivers constantly tested new and revolutionary designs and materials. Apart from sport uses , there have also been designed sport-generated designs like military HAHO (high altitude, high opening) designs, smoke jumping designs and many types of equipment for two-person and four-person tandem jumping. The military HAHO designs allowed soldiers to silently fly over large areas. The smoke jumping designs aimed to put firefighters into remote forest fires from low altitude.

Skydiving has kept on becoming more and more popular after the late 1980s, and this is because the equipment, that is reliable, lightweight, and easy-to-operate, picture this sport as accesible to many people. The U.S. president George H. W. Bush also jumped , thus increasing the popularity of skydiving.
Ghosthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06947632288346231995noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6196358506502555815.post-22002762516429789582007-09-28T18:14:00.000+02:002008-11-13T22:13:19.069+01:00Hang gliding video<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; Eventually, NASA decided not to use the Parawing but concluded that the round parachutes would be adequate for spacecraft reentry.
Photos of Rogallo's Parawing was published around the world in newspapers and magazines. These publications inspired a few individuals to experiment with the first true hang glider designs.
Although called a Parawing, the wing resembled today's modern hang glider rather than a paraglider as the name might suggest.

In 1971, the Southern California Hang Gliding Association was born. Hang gliders today must pass stringent "load" tests and are certified for their airworthiness. Pilots fly with altimeters, variometers, reserve parachutes and even on-deck flight computers. Flights of 100 to 200 miles are not uncommon, with Manfred Ruhmer of Austria establishing a world distance record of 435 miles from Zapata, Texas, on July 17, 2001.Ghosthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06947632288346231995noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6196358506502555815.post-11286935798960728592007-09-22T16:42:00.000+02:002008-11-13T22:13:25.335+01:00Bungee jump recordOn December 17, 2006, AJ Hackett made history again by breaking the world record for the highest public bungee jump.

At 4pm he jumped 233 meters from the Macau Tower, breaking the Guinness Book of Records again.
The Bungee Jump was part of the Macau’s Tower 5th anniversary celebrations.
The Bungee Jump will open to the public from 11.00am on December 20, 2006, where jumpers will reach speeds of 200km/h coming down to within 20 meters from the ground.Guide cables will be used to allow Bungee jumping in all weather conditions. accidentsO.K. I think we should all admit that there are sometimes accidents in high risk sports. A well trained and reputable club will endeavour to keep the risks as low as possible. But everyone seems to be fascinated with Bungee accidents and since I am not currently affiliated to any club etc. I'd like to document them here. All the accidents I have documented here I believe have been caused by human error. Hopefully this page will allow you to try and spot safe clubs and not to jump if you are uncertain about the practices of a club. Alternatively you could just read on to satisfy your blood desire!
More on:
http://www.bungeezone.com/disasters/

Ghosthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06947632288346231995noreply@blogger.com0
